The Perfect Football Fan Gift Guide]]>

There are tons of great options for any budget! From exciting game tickets to fun mystery jersey subscriptions, we’ve got you covered. Here’s a guide to help you pick out the perfect gift for your favorite football fan.

Key Takeaways

  • Football-themed gifts, like jerseys, are always a great idea.
  • Game tickets are a wonderful way to give an experience.
  • Mystery jersey subscriptions are so much fun!
  • Books and documentaries are a great way to learn about football.
  • Memorabilia is a wonderful way to display football history.

Football Fan Gift Ideas

retro football shirts

1. Mystery Football Shirts

Mystery football shirts are a great idea. These subscription boxes send a real jersey, but you don’t get to choose what team it is. It’s a fun surprise!

We love mystery shirts because they are fun surprises for collectors and non-collectors alike. Your recipient might not know what they’re getting, but it’s always a team they support. You can even get tickets to a derby match for a unique gift.

2. Football Books and Documentaries

There are some amazing books and documentaries out there about football. They’re a great way to learn about the sport and its rich history. From coffee table books about your favorite team to in-depth stories about football history, there’s something for everyone.

3. Football Memorabilia

Football memorabilia is a great way to show your love for the sport. From vintage programs to autographed gear, there are tons of cool options. You might go classic with a football-shaped shadow box or try a modern LED-lit display case for a sleek look.

If buying rare items like autographed jerseys or signed balls is out of your budget, you could focus on simpler pieces like ticket stubs, pins, or posters.

They’re often more affordable and still meaningful. Collecting is about celebrating your passion for the game, not just the price tag.

4. Personalized Football Gifts

Personalized gifts are a great way to go. Everyone loves a personalized scarf, mug, or keychain. You can also personalize a jersey with their name and favorite number. Personalized gifts are a nice way to jog people’s memory, but they don’t have to be expensive.

5. Collectible Memorabilia

Memorabilia offers a fantastic way to connect with football history. Consider signed items, vintage programs, or even replica trophies as timeless options. For something unique, opt for a vintage print or a modern LED-lit display case to showcase your collection.

Although I included subscription boxes in my gift guide last year, they’re still an excellent idea. Football-themed subscription boxes deliver snacks, gear, and other goodies straight to a fan’s doorstep, making them a gift that keeps on giving.

Many stadiums offer tours that take you behind the scenes. These tours are a great way to see the locker rooms, trophy rooms, and the field from a player’s perspective.

If your favorite fan doesn’t have a local team, consider a virtual stadium tour or a book about your team’s history. It’s a unique gift that they will never forget.

6. Football Themed Games

Football fans love to play games, and there are plenty of football-themed options. From party games like Football Billionaire to more serious options like FIFA, there’s something for everyone.

These are great for game days or quiet nights at home. You can choose a budget-friendly option or splurge on a more expensive game.

England to Face Serbia in World Cup Qualifiers]]>

The draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup European qualifiers has seen England placed in Group K alongside Serbia, Albania, Latvia, and Andorra. With the World Cup’s expanded format and the stakes higher than ever, England’s matches in this group will be pivotal in their journey to qualify for the tournament.

The qualifiers promise to deliver thrilling encounters, with England looking to secure one of the automatic qualification spots. Betting markets are already responding to these match-ups, with England heavily favored to top their group with 4/9 odds already listed by some bookmakers. Because not all football fans can attend the match in person, many will visit virtual bookmakers to place their bets as the match approaches. According to the experts at instantwithdrawalbettingsites.com, when punters place wagers online they can access their winnings nearly instantly on some sites, which is a huge draw for many. With good odds and a positive outlook, English fans are already gearing up for an exciting match against Serbia.

Group K: England’s Road to the 2026 World Cup

world cup 2026 group K

England’s qualification journey is off to a promising start with the group stage draw now confirmed. The Three Lions are joined by Serbia, Albania, Latvia, and Andorra in Group K, which promises to be an exciting and competitive group. England is the highest-seeded team in the group, and despite some strong competition, they are viewed as the clear favorites to finish at the top of the standings.

England’s recent form, combined with their talented squad and the leadership of their new manager, Thomas Tuchel, makes them a formidable force in the qualifiers. Tuchel, who will take over as manager in January 2025, will be looking to guide England through the group stage and beyond, with the team having a strong chance of qualifying directly for the World Cup.

The Group Stage: Key Fixtures and Rivalries

England will face Serbia, Albania, Latvia, and Andorra in the group stage. The most anticipated match-up will undoubtedly be the fixture between England and Serbia. The two teams have faced each other in recent tournaments, and their encounters are often highly competitive. England’s recent 1-0 victory over Serbia in their opening match at the 2024 European Championship was a testament to their ability to overcome strong opposition, and with a full-strength squad under Tuchel’s guidance, they are likely to be even stronger this time around.

Albania, too, will provide a significant challenge. While not as highly ranked as Serbia, they have shown in previous qualifiers that they can cause upsets against bigger teams. England’s clash with Albania will be an important match in terms of maintaining momentum through the group stage. With the expanded World Cup format, every point matters, and there is little room for error in Group K.

Latvia and Andorra, while not seen as major threats, will still present potential stumbling blocks for England, particularly in away fixtures. These teams will likely be more focused on securing a top-three finish to have a chance at the playoffs, and England will need to be at their best to avoid any surprises.

The 2026 World Cup Expansion and Its Impact

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the first to feature an expanded format, with 48 teams participating instead of the traditional 32. This expansion means that more teams will have a chance to qualify, with Europe now receiving 16 spots instead of 13. This increase in the number of spots available will affect the dynamics of the qualification process, and it will be interesting to see how teams approach the group stage.

For the top-seeded teams like England, the expanded tournament offers a slightly more forgiving route to qualification, as there will be more opportunities for teams to secure a spot in the tournament. However, with the additional spots comes increased competition, and teams will still need to perform consistently throughout the qualifiers to secure their place.

The 2026 World Cup will also see changes to the qualification process, with the top 12 group winners securing automatic spots in the tournament. The 12 remaining teams will enter a playoff system, alongside the four top-listed group winners from the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League who did not finish in the top two of their groups. This will create a tense final stage of qualification, and the betting markets will likely react accordingly, with odds fluctuating as the tournament progresses.

Conclusion: An Exciting Road Ahead for England and Their Rivals

As the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers unfold, the road to qualification will be filled with drama, high stakes, and plenty of opportunities for football fans and bettors. England’s group, which includes Serbia, Albania, Latvia, and Andorra, promises to deliver exciting matchups and intense competition. England’s strong squad and recent form make them the favorites to top the group, but Serbia and Albania will be determined to challenge them every step of the way.

With the expanded World Cup format and the new playoff system, the qualifiers will be more competitive than ever, providing plenty of opportunities for bettors to get involved. Whether you’re backing England to top Group K or hoping for an upset, the 2026 World Cup qualifiers will be a thrilling ride.

Mexico City to host 2026 FIFA World Cup Opener]]>

Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca has been confirmed as the venue for the opening game of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. With 16 host cities across the nations of the US, Mexico and Canada, the iconic Estadio Azteca will be the ideal fervent backdrop for the tournament opener.

It will be the first World Cup to be co-hosted by three nations. It will also be the first FIFA World Cup to feature 48 teams, which explains why an unprecedented number of host cities will be needed in the summer of 2026.

The Estadio Azteca oozes FIFA World Cup heritage

azteca stadium Mexico City

Estadio Azteca was the venue for the FIFA World Cup final in 1986, where Diego Maradona and Argentina lifted their second World Cup trophy. The 87,523-seater stadium will become the only stadium to have hosted three FIFA World Cup tournaments, the first being in 1970 when Brazil pipped Italy to become world champions.

In the last decade, Estadio Azteca has undergone a string of renovations to futureproof this historic football arena. In 2015, the project was formally announced to coincide with the stadium’s 50th anniversary, as well as the centenary of Club America, who play their home games at the Azteca.

Since securing its role at the heart of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Mexico City has become increasingly attractive for other major events. In August 2024, it’s been confirmed that Mexico City will stage the second leg of the five-leg Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) 2024. It’s the first time the LAPT will stop in Mexico, in a bid to fuel even further passion for the game of poker in the Mexican capital. It’s made a real difference in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro, with the high player fields at LAPT Rio De Janeiro encouraging the formation of the Brazil-specific, two-week-long BSOP Millions event.

Elsewhere in Mexico, the other two stadiums hosting 2026 FIFA World Cup games are based in Monterrey and Guadalajara. Estadio BBVA was opened in 2015, providing a futureproof arena for C.F. Monterrey, who had previously plied their trade at Estadio Tecnologico for over six decades. Nicknamed ‘The Steel Giant this 53,500-seater stadium is a stunning piece of architecture from the outside. From inside the stadium, it gets even better, with the magnificent backdrop of Cerro de la Silla, which is best seen at the north-western area of the ground.

Meanwhile the 49,813-seater Akron Stadium in Guadalajara is the third and final 2026 FIFA World Cup venue in Mexico. Home to Liga MX outfit, C.D. Guadalajara, Estadio Akron will stage some games in the opening group stage but won’t be utilised from the round of 32 onwards.

All you need to know about the 2026 FIFA World Cup

world cup trophy

The tournament will kick off in Mexico City on 11th June, 2026, with the final scheduled for 19th July, 2026. The final will be held at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The 39-day tournament makes the 2026 World Cup the longest in history.

With 48 teams set to compete at the 2026 World Cup instead of the usual 32, the tournament will have 104 games instead of the usual 64. Hence the need for three co-host nations to share the load. The format of the tournament will be largely the same, despite its expansion. There will be 12 groups of four teams. The top two of each group will automatically qualify for the last 32. Meanwhile eight of the best-performing third-placed teams will also secure a pass into the knockout stages.

From there on in, it will play out in the same format as past World Cups, with a knockout format all the way to the semi-finals and final. The US, Canada and Mexico will automatically qualify for the tournament as co-hosts. The US men’s national team will play their group games in Los Angeles, Seattle and Washington D.C. This is an exciting time for football in the CONCACAF region, especially in the US, where the Major League Soccer (MLS) is growing fast thanks to the arrival of iconic players such as David Beckham and Lionel Messi.

Can American Soccer Rise to the Occasion in 2026?]]>

For the first time since the US hosted the FIFA World Cup in 1994, the 2026 World Cup will be held in North America. Between June and July 2026, 16 cities in the US, Canada, and Mexico are scheduled to host games of the 2026 edition. 48 teams will compete in this competition for the first time; in previous World Cups, there were only 32 teams.

world cup 2026 logo

The men’s national soccer team of the United States earned their spot in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, which ended the team’s absence from the 2018 tournament in Russia. Even if the USMNT was unable to progress past the Round of 16 in Qatar, the chance to qualify as the host country for 2026 offers a chance to recover.

Following the 2022 World Cup, manager Gregg Berhalter’s contract was extended to 2026. Christian Pulisic, Gio Reyna, Tim Weah, and Yunus Musah are examples of youthful talent that Berhalter has integrated into the team and worked hard to adopt a possession-based style of play. Despite the core of the current USMNT still being young and still growing on the international scene, they gained a lot of important experience in Qatar.

When the 2026 World Cup is held in their home country, seasoned athletes like Tyler Adams, Sergiño Dest, Weston McKennie, and Pulisic will be at the top of their game. The next generation of stars like Moses Nyeman, Cade Cowell and Ricardo Pepi will also want to make it to the senior national team. The States may boast one of their best World Cup teams in 2026 provided youth and the veterans collaborate well.

In all likelihood, the US squad in 2026 ought to be hoping to get out of the group stage. Among 16 groups consisting of three teams each, the USMNT aims to steer out of a group that includes several teams ranked in the top ten. The United States would be well-positioned to place in the top two of their group if they faced one great team and two beatable opponents.

The following step then entails winning a Round of 16 knockout match if the USMNT advances. For the hosts, a trip to the quarterfinals would indicate a good competition. Getting in the finals would likely require you to defeat an opponent who is a real challenge, and it could be a big deal.

Brazil, France, Argentina, England and Spain are the early favorites in the Vegas odds for the 2026 event. Brazil, who will now rely more on Neymar and the younger players than on veterans like Thiago Silva and Casemiro, will be aiming for a record-breaking sixth World Cup victory.

Superstars like Kylian Mbappé are still available for reigning champions France, while Lionel Messi wants to bring Argentina’s history to a close by closing off his incredible career in 2026. Competitors from Europe, such as Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands, anticipate becoming involved.

Which countries will peak for the 2026 World Cup cycle is still up in the air. Uruguay, Croatia, Denmark, and other nations might produce strong veteran teams. Young, exciting teams like Ecuador, Mexico, Senegal, and Serbia may potentially prove to be dark horse challengers.

In 2026, the United States will prioritize making a statement on its territory. Becoming known in the world of international soccer has always been a constant objective, and the 2026 World Cup offers a terrific opportunity to achieve this. Having a combination of experienced players and rising stars, the USMNT hopes to advance deeply in the knockout rounds. If you get the latest vegas odds you’ll find the US team are considered to be heavy outsiders at this stage, but there’s plenty of time for players to develop and perhaps someone game-changing could burst onto the scene.

Since the United States is hosting the enormous event, perhaps interest in soccer will grow nationally in the wake of the 2026 World Cup. The competition offers the chance to witness exceptional young American players competing at the top level. This may serve as motivation for the upcoming crop of American soccer players.

With the manager Berhalter at the helm, the USMNT can emulate their 2002 run to the quarterfinals if they manage to recruit a balanced team of Americans that plays an interesting style of soccer. Fighting against world-class rivals would be a great learning curve for the American soccer players who are planning to 2030 and beyond.

This opportunity for soccer to be regarded as a major domestic sport has finally arrived with the 2026 FIFA World Cup hosted in the United States. The American men’s national team is hopeful that the year of 2026 will dawn a new age in American soccer history due to the quickly coming of age youth football talents, fully expansion leagues domestically, and determination to play for one’s country’s honor.

Read on to find out all about attending a soccer match in the UAE.

Experiencing Soccer in the UAE ]]>

Soccer and travel are two of my favorite things in the world. I think it’s extraordinary how a game can bring people together. As a travel advisor, I try to attend a game in as many destinations as possible. In February 2023, I saw my first UAE Pro League game in Abu Dhabi.

By Matt Stein

Initially, I planned on going to a game in Dubai but the timing did not work out. A week later, I watched third-place Al Wahda host table-toppers Shabab Al Ahli at Al Nahyan Stadium.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw. Shabab Al Ahli struck first when Federico Cartabia converted on a penalty kick in the 64th minute. Aleddine Ben Ajmi Zouhir leveled the game off a corner kick in the 78th minute. The moment of the match was an incredible save by Al Wahda keeper Mohamed Al Shamsi in stoppage time.

This game was a unique experience, unlike any game I’d seen in person before. Traveling to the region may require a visa. You can learn more about visa requirements for world travel here. The UAE is a Muslim country, creating a different environment for fans.

Fans Still Have Fun in the Stands

As I walked into the stadium, the familiar sound of soccer fans was easy to hear. The fans bellowed songs serenading their team and favorite players. Supporters wore team colors or jerseys. But that’s where the similarities ended.

There was no concourse for food, drink, or souvenirs. You funnel through the entrance and directly into the stadium. Your ticket’s section, row, and seat numbers do not matter. If there’s a seat you like, you take it. And, of course, there’s no beer.

The passion the fans have is obvious. It’s displayed differently than in the US, Europe, or South America. They don’t shout at the players or officials. There’s hardly any cheering or jeering. It’s just a constant sound of excitement. I don’t speak Arabic but I’m positive there was no cursing.

Soccer Played with Respect

It’s also very different on the field. I won’t try to compare the level of play because it doesn’t match the standards of any league I’ve witnessed before. But what I saw was very different from most soccer experiences.

Players did not dive, hoping to draw penalties. They didn’t huddle around the referee trying to influence a decision or call. There was no arguing with the ref except for one borderline foul. The players respected the referee and his position of power at all times. There wasn’t even any on-field complaining when he pointed to the spot for a penalty kick.

When Cartabia put Shabab Al Ahli ahead with that penalty, the differences really jumped out to me. There was no running around the field or big celebration about the goal. The away fans continued to sing and the home fans quieted down for a couple of minutes but it was like watching highlights of a baseball game from the 1950s. Everyone acted like this had happened before and would happen again.

They were proven right when Al Wahda drew even less than 15 minutes later. I was sure there’d be a party-like reaction considering they would jump into first place with a win. The players congratulated the goal-scorer and walked back to midfield. About half the fans stood to cheer but the sound level didn’t change much.

The closest thing to an American-like reaction came when Al Shamsi kept the game even in stoppage time. And while there was a sudden reaction of noise, it was almost the sound of relief as much as cheering.

I enjoy experiencing as many different environments as possible. I believe traveling the world is one way to do it, while sports, food, wine, beer, and arts are other possibilities. Traveling through Dubai and Abu Dhabi can be a luxurious vacation. As a luxury travel advisor, I saw the glitz and glamour of Dubai compared to the more subdued show of class in wealthier Abu Dhabi. The people there are proud of becoming a hot spot for tourism and want you to enjoy every aspect of their culture.

The Canucks are back. After a thirty-six-year dry spell, the Canadian national soccer team made it to FIFA World Cup in Qatar, leaving behind the North American soccer behemoths USA and Mexico in CONCACAF qualifying round.

Top 5 Canadian Soccer Players in Europe to Watch

Canadians battled it out with the sport’s household name in the group stage fair and square, giving Croatia, Belgium, and Morroco the run for their money, despite failing to pull off an upset in any of the matchups. The team owes the newly-found character to its young core of players, who are already playing for Europe’s leading soccer clubs in the Big Five. Similarly, students striving for excellence in their academic work can find support through domyessay.com services.

Below you’ll find the list of the best five Canadian soccer players in 2023 and their potential to attain the status of legends.

Stephen Eustáquio

Stephen Eustáquio is a Canadian midfielder currently playing for FC Porto of Primeira Liga. FC Porto’s connection with Canadian soccer seems to run deeper than just the level of personnel. Namely, Porto agreed to a four-year shirt sponsorship deal with Betano, a betting company with one of the strongest presences in the Canadian sports betting industry. For more detail, consult LegalBet Canada expertsadvice on Betano Canada.

In the meantime, focus on the youngster who spent hours studying the world’s greatest soccer players, including David Silva, Cristiano Ronaldo, and others. As a member of FC Porto, Eustáquio was the winner of the Primeira Liga in the 2021-22 season and the Taça da Liga Portuguesa winner in 2023.

For the national team, he debuted in November 2019, and has been a standard player in the rotation in the 2021-22 Concacaf / FIFA World Cup Qualifiers round and FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Alphonso Davies

Alphonso Daviesstory begins in a Ghanaian refugee camp, where he was born to parents who had fled the civil war in Liberia. His family immigrated to Canada when Alphonso was five, and little did they know that he would grow to become Canada’s most decorated soccer player at the age of 22.

Alphonso Davies is a star defender of Bayern Munich, for which he’s played 102 matches and won 71. He took the German Championship title for four consecutive years, starting with the 2018/19 season. He also won the UEFA Championship League in the 2019/20 season while playing for Bayern Munich, together with the Supercup in 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Davies is considered to be one of the fastest and strongest runners in the Bundesliga, with a top speed of 36.2 km/h, which secured him the title of third fastest runner in the league. He also boasts a pass success rate of 87.74% and a tackle success rate of 59.81%, placing him in third of internal team statistics.

In fact, not only is he talented at the defensive end of the pitch but at the offensive one as well. He scored Canada’s first goal at FIFA World Cup in Qatar against Croatia, which went on to beat Morroco 2 to 1 to claim third place in the tournament.

Jonathan David

Jonathan David ‘is a 22-year-old forward for the Canadian national team and LOSC Lille of the French Ligue 1. He’s scored 21 goals in 32 caps for Canada and has been on fire this season for Lille, scoring 19 goals in 27 appearances.

In fact, with his hat trick for LOSC Lille against Olympique Lyonnais in Round 27 of the national championship, he became the first player to go over a 50-goal mark after 43 years.

His speed, agility with the ball, and decisiveness in front of the goal make him a lethal offensive weapon worthy of the nickname “The Iceman

canadian soccer player kyle larin
Kyle Larin

Cyle Larin

Cyle Larin, an Ontario native, has been a cornerstone of Canada’s national team since his debut  against Bulgaria on May 23, 2014. He represented the team at CONCACAF Gold Cup, FIFA World Cup and has logged more than 20 caps.

He is currently playing for Real Valladolid in the Spanish La Liga, on loan from Club Brugge, a team in the Belgian Pro League.

His stint with the Turkish Besiktas was one of the most productive Larin had on an international stage. He scored 23 times in 45 games for Besiktas and propelled them to a Turkish double in 2020/21. During the 2021 season, he netted the ball 14 times for Canada, cementing his status as one of the most important strikers on the national team.

Tajon Buchanan

Tajon Buchanan is a Canadian winger currently playing for Club Brugge, together with his fellow countryman Cyle Larin. In 2021, he signed a three-year deal with Club Brugge for an undisclosed amount. That same year, he made his senior team debut for Canada against Aruba. His debut was a 7-0 blowout to which he contributed with two assists.

Buchanan played gloriously at the Gold Cup, securing himself the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup Best Young Player Award and a spot on the national team for FIFA World Cup in 2022.

Final Thoughts

Canada is not widely considered a soccer powerhouse in America, but that is about to change. As the country prepares to co-host the 2026 FIFA World Cup together with Mexico and the United States, these players are undoubtedly going to be the focal point of the squad and drive the team’s push for the first-ever knockout stage.

USA Look Forward To World Cup 2026]]>
The USA had the youngest squad at the Qatar World Cup, and for all of the talent, in the end, it showed. Expectations across the rest of the world were never high, but in the US, they might have been too high. The USA is used to dominating whatever sport they compete in – yet football has remained an elusive one.

globe logo for world cup articleThe US may be out of the World Cup but There is Reason to be Excited

American fans are starting to come to terms with the beautiful game, understanding the nuances and why the USA national side isn’t at the same level as some of the major European teams. Despite this, the USA has a young, strong squad and plenty to be hopeful for.

After bowing out in the knockout stages, there is still a lot of positivise we can take from this World Cup and it should give fans a lot of hope for 2026. Sportsbooks never had the US down as favorites which is understandable, but after the encouraging performances in Qatar, all that could change when we host the World Cup in 2026. If you’re looking to place a bet on any of the teams left in the tournament, take a look at these Colorado sports betting promo codes.

Could They Have Gone Further?

The USA managed to squeeze through in the last group game to finish second, setting themselves up against the Netherlands – one of the greatest footballing nations on earth. It was never going to be an easy game, and for such a young squad, the USA performed admirably.

In the end, experience showed. After failing to qualify, this young team exceeded the football world’s expectations and performed well. Yet, you get the impression they fell short of what they perhaps expected of themselves. Pulisic really stepped up to the starring role that he has shied away from at times in the past. He was a vocal leader in both his attitude and his on-field play. This team will be back and will be stronger.

A Blunted Attacking Edge

This USA team could go head-to-head with any team, but when it comes to playing the more experienced sides, they can come undone. The possession game against Holland was broken down, and the side didn’t really have any other options in attack – they looked out of ideas.

The USA will learn from this, they have another tournament’s worth of experience, and you can only imagine they will improve by the time 2026 comes around. This young side needs to learn how to be more streetwise, but they made it much further than last time around, and that was without an elite striker with very little bench depth.

Star Performers

Tyler Adams had an excellent tournament and was one of the standout performers in the squad. His only mistake ended up costing them. He failed to track back with Memphis Depay, who went on to open the scoring. The Leeds midfielder and newly appointed US captain lived up to the expectation.

Christian Pulisic was involved in every one of the USA’s goals, all the while taking a beating from every defender he came up against. Every defender he came up against was doing anything and everything to keep the star man quiet. He suffered a horrible injury against Iran but still showed up every time he stepped on the pitch.

The team played excellent attacking football but were crying out for a world-class finisher, with excellent chances being missed in every game. Wright missing a perfect chance and then scoring accidentally summarized the team’s problems in front of goal pretty well.

Should Gregg Berhalter Stay as Coach?

Berhalter’s role in reviving a program that had hit a low, regardless of what happens next, has left this US team better than the position he found it in. It sounds harsh, but it may be his time to move on. The US outplayed every side they played in the first half. They then proceeded to sit back in most second halves, allowing teams to attack them.

They struggled to find a route to goal, and some questionable decisions were made by coach Berhalter – some responsibility had to fall on his shoulders. There is a belief that this team could have gone further.

The USA can’t afford to waste the potential of this squad, which could go even further in 2026. A new manager with international experience and tactical knowledge could be what this side needs.
